Our october collection is here, so hang around :)
Nau mai, haere mai
Hometown Hero looks to Toi te Huatahi for another way of thinking about personal style. To communities who learned to make, mend, feed, clothe, laugh and lead because things needed doing. People who could look at whatever was available and see what it could become. Clothing was shaped by necessity. It produced ingenuity, material intelligence, humour, colour, and style.

Up cycled materials Everything unique
We’re Hometown Hero. We bring together local makers and creators to make clothes that are beautiful, belong to a place, and make use of what’s around us.
Inspired by the resourcefulness of the hoko hoko, we believe good clothes don’t need to start with something new. They can come from what’s already here. Reclaimed textiles, unexpected materials, big colours, bold textures, and a bit of imagination.
Every month, we release a new collection of 20 pieces, made by local makers and creators. On the 22nd of each month, the drop goes live and the pieces are yours to shop.
Each collection is limited, with one-off pieces and small runs made from what’s available. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
People-made, locally made, and shaped by the places we call home. That’s Hometown Hero.
